Overview

What is Local Comms?

Local Comms focuses on local, device-to-device communication between Milwaukee Tool products and host applications such as mobile apps, desktop tools, and gateways. It enables products to exchange data over short-range links without requiring cloud connectivity.

How is this different from Remote Comms?

Remote Comms enables always-on, direct cloud connectivity over cellular or WiFi. Local Comms is different in that it handles proximity-based communication — typically over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or similar local transports — between a tool and a nearby host.
